The 'eye' of the feather is about 1-1/2" diameter and has a rainbow of beautiful iridescent colors. The feather itself is about 9" - 12" long.
The peacock has been a powerful symbol of royalty, pride, and beauty for centuries. In China, it's feathers were used for royal fans. During the Renaissance, peacock feathers were seen on hats, masks and costumes along with ostrich plumes.
Peacock feathers can be trimmed, and hung as an earring, or pinned onto a lampshade for a beautiful accent.
