See More Gold Leafing

Variegated Gold leafing comes in a "book" of 25 sheets. Each sheet comes between two pieces of protective paper. Variegated gold has swirls of colors in a flower or blooming pattern. Iridescent greens, reds, and blues all show up aside the gold. This is not real gold, but looks exatly like the real thing. We honestly can't tell real from imitation when it comes to leafing. If you've gotta have the real thing, look in the gold leafing catagory, and you will find it. The variegated finish is accomplished by a chemical & heat reaction on the metal. The colors are lasting and permanent.

Leafing is pretty easy. it's essentially 2 easy steps:
1) paint on the adhesive sizing, and allow it to completely dry to a clear, sticky surface.
2) Lay down your leaf sheet over the adhesive area, and brush it down with a dry soft cloth or dry paintbrush.

You can get a more classic look by applying a red basecoat before applying the adhesive, and giving it an antique wash to highlight the details and give it an old & timeless look.
