These are best quality American made grommets. Size 00 roughly translates to 1/2" or 12.5 mm outside diameter. Grommets are a two part fastener for all kinds of materials including leather, canvas, vinyl, rubber, fabrics, etc. They can be used to fasten two pieces together, or to make a protected hole for ties or straps. Make sure your materials are not thicker than 1/16" or 1.5 mm thick.
The inside diameter in the grommet hole is 3/16" or 5 mm.
Nickel Plated Solid brass is a silver color.
