Before you dye your new leather shoes, you gotta deglaze em'!
WHY? Becase when you buy leather products, 98% of the time, they have a protective finish over them. This keeps your shoes clean, but it also keeps them from accepting dye. You must prepare your leather, if you want to dye it.
HOW? Wet a cloth with Angelus' leather preparer/deglazer, and buff off the finish on your leather surface, wipe the excess deglazer, (wait a few minutes) then you are ready to apply your leather dye while the surface is still wet from the preparer/deglazer.
