These antique brass brads are made of heavy duty steel, then plated with brass, then antiqued to a mellow bronze tone. They will not rust onto your garments or papers.
Our highest quality brads were crafted to hold strong through multiple layers of materials. These brads are most commonly used to fasten many layers of fabrics or leather together. They can also be used in just about any other material, like plastic, mesh, paper, canvas, and wood. To use them, make a small slit in your material, push the brad shaft through, and fold out the 2 shafts in opposite directions. Fast and easy to use. Built to last. It is reccomended that your materials are between 3/16" - 5/16" thick. price is per 12 brads.
