The diameter is 1 1/4" wall thickness is 1/8". The height is exactly half of the diameter. (So when put together, make a perfect sphere) Use them for models, snowglobes, prototypes, school projects, display bubbles, etc. These domes come from precision molds, and are cast under controlled temperature and pressure for many hours. The small bits of plastic at the top of the dome are part of the casting process, and can be easily filed off with a sanding stick. Use a solvent based adhesive when adhering two domes into a sphere. We recommend Plastruct Plastic Weld.

If you're going to sand down to mold mark at the top of the dome, KitKraft suggests the MicroMesh craft kit to and down the tiny "nipple" at the top and restore the acrylic back to it's perfect shine and transparency. MicroMesh is used by airline companies to buff out scratches and restore their airplane windows. It works.
